Running a meeting

The start screen has four fields. Only attendees matter for the cost.

  • Title. Optional. Meetor suggests titles you used recently.
  • Topic. Optional. Pick a topic or create one. Topics group spend on the dashboard.
  • Planned length. Optional. 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes, or a custom length.
  • Attendees. Search your roster and tap to add. Use Add person to add someone new without leaving the screen.

Free workspaces allow 5 attendees per meeting and 10 meetings a month. Pro has no limits. See Plans and billing.

The large number is the total cost so far. Under it you see the elapsed time, the burn rate per minute, and the number of people in the room.

Cost is always computed from timestamps, not by counting ticks. If the tab sleeps or the phone locks, the number is still correct when you come back.

The meter shows the total only. Per-person costs are never on screen unless you tap Show breakdown. The breakdown hides itself again after 10 seconds.

Attendee chips show a first name and a role. They never show a rate.

  • Tap a chip to mark that person as having left. Their cost stops.
  • Tap them again, or add someone new, when they join. Their cost starts from that moment.

Each person costs money only while they are in the meeting.

Time while paused costs nothing. The burn rate shows zero until you resume.

Presenter mode is a full-screen view with the total and the clock only. No names, no chips, no burn rate. Use it on a TV or when sharing your screen in a video call.

While the meter runs, Meetor asks the browser to keep the screen awake. Some browsers do not support this. The cost stays correct either way.

If you set a planned length and the meeting runs past it, the meter turns amber and shows how much the overrun has cost.

At the planned end plus 5 minutes, Meetor shows a “Still meeting?” banner. If you allowed notifications, you also get a notification. Meetor asks for notification permission only after a meeting has run over, never on first run.

Meetings stop counting at a hard cap of 4 hours. You can change the cap in workspace settings. If you open the app after the cap, Meetor asks when the meeting really ended. Pick the planned end, the last activity, now, or a custom time.

Any meeting can be edited after it ends: start and end times, attendees, join and leave times, title, and topic. The cost is recalculated from the new times.

Meetings start and run without a connection. If you close the tab, reload, or lose power, the running meeting is restored exactly as it was. Meetor never throws away a meeting, even one started over the free limit.
