People and rates
You enter people once. Every meeting picks attendees from this roster.
The roster
Section titled “The roster”Each person has:
- First and last name.
- Role. Free text, with suggestions from roles you used before, such as Engineer, Designer, Sales, or Consultant.
- Type. Staff or External. The dashboard splits spend between the two.
- Pay. An annual salary, an hourly rate, or both. If you enter both, you choose which one Meetor uses.
- Notes. Optional.
You can add people from the People screen or while picking attendees for a meeting.
Free workspaces hold 10 people. Pro has no limit.
Rates are snapshots
Section titled “Rates are snapshots”When a person joins a meeting, Meetor saves their hourly cost at that moment. Changing a rate later never changes past meetings.
Salary to hourly
Section titled “Salary to hourly”Meetor uses one formula for salaried people:
hourly cost = annual salary x load multiplier / working hours per year- Working hours per year. The default is 2,080 (40 hours a week for 52 weeks). You can set any value from 1,000 to 3,000 per workspace.
- Load multiplier. Covers taxes, benefits, and overhead on top of salary. The default is 1.3, shown in settings as “We add 30% for taxes and benefits.” You can set any value from 1.0 to 2.5 per workspace.
People paid by the hour, usually consultants and contractors, use their rate as entered. Meetor adds no multiplier to hourly rates.
These are estimates you control. Meetor never connects to payroll and does not claim to be exact.
Worked example
Section titled “Worked example”Take a staff member with an $85,000 salary and the default settings.
- $85,000 x 1.3 = $110,500 a year, including taxes and benefits.
- $110,500 / 2,080 hours = $53.13 an hour.
- A 30-minute meeting with this person costs half of that hourly figure: $26.56.
Now a consultant billed at $150.00 an hour joins the same 30-minute meeting. The consultant costs $75.00, and the meeting costs $101.56 in total.
Meetor keeps fractions of a cent while a meeting runs and rounds to the cent only when it stores or shows a number. That is why the meeting total is $101.56 and not the sum of two already rounded figures.

Change the defaults
Section titled “Change the defaults”Open workspace settings to change working hours per year or the load multiplier. The change applies to people who join meetings from then on. Past meetings keep their snapshots.

Who sees rates
Section titled “Who sees rates”Rates are the most sensitive thing in Meetor. They are never shown on the live meter unless you tap to reveal them, and they are never part of a shared receipt. See Privacy and security.
